US Market Pulse is a real-time dashboard showing S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, Dow Jones Industrial Average, CBOE VIX, and S&P 500 sector ETF performance. Data refreshes every 5 minutes during NYSE trading hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET).
What does the CBOE VIX indicate?
The CBOE VIX (Volatility Index) measures expected S&P 500 volatility over the next 30 days. A VIX below 15 indicates calm markets, 15-20 is normal, 20-30 is elevated uncertainty, and above 30 signals extreme fear. It is often called the "fear gauge."
What are the NYSE trading hours?
NYSE and NASDAQ are open Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. Pre-market trading runs 4:00-9:30 AM ET and after-hours trading runs 4:00-8:00 PM ET.
